Acans are active feeders capable of grabbing passing food with their tentacles which appear when their polyps are expanded. They grow by forming new polyps at the edge of existing ones and as the polyps get larger they lay down new skeleton.
This family of Acans - Acan Lordhowensis - can be kept close together without fighting but allow some distance from other corals.
This Acan is a mix of different shades of red orange with white stripes
Frags will be between 4 and 6 polyps.
How long we've kept this coral: 8 years.
“Well packed coral. A very nice coral and there are 7 to 8 heads as well, great value for £15! I will be buying more corals soon.”
